Mr. Alfonso Gómez
He is currently the Dean of the Adolfo Ibáñez Business School with campuses in Santiago, Viña del Mar and Miami (USA). Professor Gómez is a Civil Engineer from the Catholic University of Chile and earned his Ph.D. from the Royal College of Art in London, UK. He is board member in several Innovation related institutions including InnovaChile, Fundación País Digital and Chile's National Council of Innovation for Competitiveness. He has extensive experience as entrepreneur and as member of the board in several private companies.
Mr. Andrés Concha
Economist graduated from the Universidad de Chile (Facultad de Ciencias Económicas). In 1996 he became the Secretary General of the Chilean Federation of Industry, responsibility he still is in charge of. He was a member of the board of directors in the companies Gener, Puerto Ventanas, Naviera Interoceánica and Agunsa. In addition, he was a member of the council of the Fundación Chilena del Pacífico (Chile Pacific Foundation) and Fundación Chile. Between 1975 and 1979, he was the Executive Director of the Chilean Exportations Promotion Board (ProChile) and between 1979 and 1984 he was the General Director of the International Economic Relations Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was born on March, 31st 1944. He’s married and has four children.
Mr. Fernando Lefort
Fernando Lefort is the Dean of the Business-Economics School at Universidad Diego Portales. Professor Lefort received his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and has published several academic articles on Corporate Governance in Chile and Latin America. Fernando Lefort is member of the Chilean National Council of Innovation and the Self-regulation committee of the Chilean Mutual Fund Association, Vice-chairman of AFC Chile and board member of COFACE Chile.
Mr. Joaquín Cortéz Huerta
He is currently the chairman of AFP PROVIDA. Before being appointed to this position, he served for approximately 15 years as Chief Investment Officer for AFP PROVIDA. In this role, he not only had to manage a portfolio of around US$ 40 billion, but also deal with several corporate governance Issues. He has a large experience in the Chilean capital market, because before joining AFP PROVIDA he worked in other companies such as Banco Edwards, Santander Investment, Banco Central de Chile and BankersTrust. He has also been a Board member of several companies such as Banco Edwards, Banco Santander, Compañía de Seguros de Vida Santander, Canal 4 de Televisión La Red, Plaza Vespucio Shopping Mall and Depósito Central de Valores (DCV). He gaduated from Universidad Católica de Chile as Ingeniero Comercial in 1975 and obtained a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago in 1978. He has been a professor of Economics at several Chilean universities.
Mr. Sergio Guzmán
Sergio Guzmán L. was born in 1954, married, seven children. Mr. Guzman received a degree in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 1976, received the Raúl Iver, Economía UC award and holds a Masters in Economics from the same university. He was chairman of the board of The State Owned Holding Companies, board director of Aguas Andinas S.A. and ESSBIO S.A.. Mr. Guzman has also served as a consultant and board director of various companies and partner of “tomate" Corporate Governance Consultants; board director founding of Blanco & Negro S.A.; he has worked at Grupo Luksic, Embotelladora Andina S.A., Grupo Pathfinder Chile S.A, and was from 1978 to 1980 Advisor to the Ministry of Labor José Piñera in the development of the new Pension Fund System of Chile.
